Ruth is an industrial engineer with technical and operational experience in process improvement and quality assurance. She has worked in the public and private sector working for plastic and medical devices industries. In the medical devices industry, she worked for Medtronic as a quality technician. She has experience supervising operational quality inspectors and training them on quality testing procedures for products characteristics in new products validation projects. As a quality professional she has experience analyzing and determining root causes of nonconformities in order to design and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate the root cause of nonconformities.
In the plastics industry, she has worked in projects to reduce waste and increase efficiency in the production line. Also, she has experience working using the DMAIC tool for process improvement and optimization. She has worked redesigning layouts and designing visual aids for production personnel. She has experience in procedures documentation and standardization. In the public sector, she has worked for an institution in the implementation process of quality standards helping them to standardize and improve processes.
Ruth holds a Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering from InstitutoTecnológico de Santo Domingo INTEC (Dominican Republic) and a Master in Environmental Health and Safety Management M.S. from Rochester Institute of Technology RIT (New York, United States).
