With 25+ years of professional experience across a variety of corporate functions such as Information Technology, Procurement, and Operations, Julie brings a wealth of knowledge from a diverse set of companies. Her experience in program management, process improvement and organizational change management coupled with her excellent communication and relationship building skills have enabled Julie to drive successful outcomes including cost reduction, productivity improvement, customer and employee satisfaction, and reduced risk.
Shortly after graduating from the University of Southern Indiana with a degree in Social Science and a secondary education teaching license, Julie started her career as a consultant delivering computer based training to clients and quickly became a certified Novell and Microsoft trainer. As she continued to grow her experience in IT, she moved into a role providing software and hardware implementation services across several sectors including manufacturing, finance, banking, and retail. With a desire for continued education, Julie became a Certified Program Management Professional and Six Sigma Green Belt while working for Fifth Third Bank. She later received certifications in ITIL and became a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
During her 13 year tenure at The Nielsen Company, Julie led a global PMO where she was responsible for the creation and governance of a software development life cycle framework, ITIL quality processes,, and Agile development tools. She drove multiple transformation efforts as well as managed several large vendor relationships including a $2.2B contract with a large outsourcing partner. Julie also led the Global Procurement organization supporting a $1.7B portfolio across 9000+ vendors in 100+ countries.
